Through the Ethical Advocate Hotline/Website, you are encouraged to report any suspected illegal or improper practice of which you are aware. You may provide this information anonymously. Please note that this Hotline/Website is not intended for use as a “Get Back at Someone” mechanism to cause others grief; it is only to be used for reporting legitimate accounting and ethical concerns.
To utilize Ethical Advocate:
Go to their web site at , or call the toll free number assigned to Venoco, (866) 400-2509, 24 hours a day, any day of the year. In order to ensure maximum anonymity and confidentiality, we strongly urge you to not submit reports from Venoco’s computers or phones.
When you visit the website or Call Center, you will be asked to create your own unique UserID and Password in order to file a report. If you are using the website, please enter Venoco and “search”, then your location (or Anonymous – I choose not to identify if you are so inclined). Ethical Advocate does not keep a record of user names and passwords – it is up to you to write it down and keep it in a secure place.
Complete the report following the on-screen or operator instructions. You may provide your name and contact information, or remain anonymous.
When answering the questions, give enough detail to allow proper investigation of the issue. Provide names, account codes, times, places, etc.
You are encouraged to check back on the report(s) that you file, using the UserID and Password you created. We may need your additional input to properly investigate the issue. You can also see the result of your report when the investigation is concluded.
Through Ethical Advocate’s website and Call Center, you will remain anonymous while reviewing the status of the report and providing additional information, if you choose not to provide your name and contact information.
