Michael Wracher is
Chief Operating Officer for Venoco LLC. He joined the company in 1998 and has held various roles of increasing responsibility in development, exploration and operations, including Vice President, Exploration and Vice President, Sacramento Basin.
Prior to joining Venoco, Mr. Wracher worked for Mobil Oil Corporation where he was responsible for both development and exploration geology.
Mr. Wracher holds a B.S. in Geology from Fort Lewis College, a M.S. in Geology from San Diego State University and a M.S. in Global Energy Management from University of Colorado, Denver.
Timothy Marquez co-founded Venoco Inc. in September 1992 and served as CEO until June 2002. During that time the company progressed from a startup with an initial equity stake of $3,000 to a company with a total enterprise value of more than $1.4 billion.
He founded Marquez Energy in 2002 and served as CEO until it was acquired by Venoco in March 2005. Mr. Marquez returned to Venoco as Chairman, CEO and President in June 2004 and became Executive Chairman in August 2012.
Mr. Marquez began his career in the energy industry as an engineer and in several management positions with Unocal Corporation. For more than 13 years he managed assets offshore California and in the North Sea in addition to several other managerial and engineering functions.
Mr. Marquez has a B.S. in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
Ms. Hatfield serves as Chief Accounting Officer of Venoco, LLC Ms. Hatfield joined Venoco, LLC as Internal Audit Director in November 2013 and then in October, 2014, she served as Director of Financial Accounting. Prior to that, Ms. Hatfield worked at Grant Thornton from 2008 to 2013 in various roles, including, most recently, Advisory Services Senior Manager. She has 13 years of public accounting experience serving clients in various industries including oil and gas, manufacturing and telecoms. Ms. Hatfield is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and accounting from Western State College of Colorado and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Denver.
Brian E. Donovan became General Counsel and Secretary in October of 2014. Brian began his tenure with Venoco, as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary in December of 2007 and has served as an integral part of the management team ever since. Prior to joining Venoco, he amassed over 20 years of legal experience with various subsidiaries of Peabody Energy, Inc. including, Gold Fields Mining Corporation, Arid Operations, Inc., and Peabody Natural Gas, LLC.
Mr. Donovan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver, and a Master of Laws degree in taxation from the University of Denver and is licensed to practice law in Colorado.
